Young children do not understand that taking things that don’t belong to them is wrong and will often take things without permission.  However, some children continue to steal things after gaining an understanding that it is wrong to do so.  This can be very frustrating for their care givers and can be isolating for them and the child or young person.

There are many reasons why children and young people steal and the first step to changing this behaviour is to find out the reason why your child or young person is stealing.

This resourse aims to equip care givers with the knowledge of reasons why children steal, and to provide practical ways to tackle this behaviour.

Certificate of participation issued on completion.
